The Great Wall at Simatai is quiet and natural, virtually unreconstructed. Most people consider Simatai the most beautiful section of the Great Wall. It is beautiful, but its main aesthetic attraction is its state of ruin. This is how the Great Wall really looks 500 years after the Ming constructed it.
