Quan Ju De (Peking Duck): Your Must During Your First Trip to Beijing
Quan Ju De Founded in 1864, famous, authentic and delicious. It is nationally famous for its roast duck, reputed to be China's No.1 delicacy. This is one of the most famous chains of restaurants in Beijing to eat Beijing Roast Duck. So there are many Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurants in Beijing. But the most famous are the two headquarter Quanjude duck restaurants - one is Qianmen Quanjude Duck Restaurant and the other is Hepingmen Duck Restaurant.

Fangshan (ImperialFood):
Fangshan(ImperialFood)Imperial cuisine or Court Cuisine originates from the imperial kitchen which cooked food for the emperor and his royalfamily. After the fall of the Qing Dynasty, some chefs from the imperial kitchen opened restaurants in the capital to introduce the special food once only eaten by the imperial family. The Beijing Fanshang Restaurant is one of the famous restautants offering imperial food. it is located inside Beihai Park (enter through the east gate) Tel: 6401-1889/1879. They have some menus with a lot of tiny dishes, all of them delicious, starting from RMB150 to RMB500 /20 dishes/person.

McDonald's and KFC,: Just like the West
McDonald's.and KFC, are everywhere in Beijing. So if you want to have a change after too much Chinese food, you can always go back to the old and known McDonald's or KFC. When the first McD was opened in Bejing in 1991, it was a big attraction for the Chinese tourists coming to Beijing. By the way, You can always count on McDonalds for having clean toilets.

Starbucks Coffer
Starbucks has sure spreaded its power in most corners of the world. Now it has spruced up all over the old Beijing. Just take one featuring Starbucks. You can find the Starbucks just on the southern edge of Qianhai Lake. if you love the traditional Chinese architectural design, then youn may choose this this Starbucks and enjoyed hanging out here, with a caramel macchiato, nice comfy chair and classic jazz music in the background. After a coffee, there are many bar and restaurant choices alongside the lake nearby.

Afunti Uighur Restaurant: good food and entertainment
Afunti Uighur RestaurantDelicious food (muslim, halal) from the province of Xinjiang from the far west. This restaurant is open per day from around 6pm to 10pm. If you come late, you will find yourself eating with the crowd dancing on your table!! The table top dancing here is what make it very special. They also have one of the best belly dancer performance on stage. There are many dishes to choose from and some of them can be quite expensive. You may choose one of the fixed meals they offer. The normal price starts at RMB 100 per person. Middle Eastern pasta with veg in tomato sauce, roast lamb on skewers seasoned perfectly, fruit platters, fish, pitta bread and much more!

Dadong Roast Duck Restauant
This is supposed to be the most famous place to have the Peking Duck. It is usually packed with both locals and westerners. It is hard to get a table without advance booking. Very often you have to wait of about 40 minutes before having a bite of the bird's glossy deep red skin and smell its mouth-watering fragrance wafting through the air. These ducks are low-fat and healthy-described as “crisp but not oily” with a tasty, juicy inside, and crisp outside.They have menu in English with picture, you can order with reference of those pictures. If you have less people eating together, you can simply order only half duck, there are other dishes to choose. The chef will slice the duck in front of you, it's fun if you can take a photo.

1001 Nights: Nice food and Belly dancing
A mecca for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. The menu clearly shows which dishes are veggie and which ones aren't. The majority are meat free! You can sit both inside or on the big terrace outside. You may have falafels, hoummous, a sour cucumber dip with warm pitta bread, cheesy filled pastries, a mouth watering salad with spices galore and a tangy vinagrette and much more! The music is good, the belly dancers are great and the food even better!

Dong Lai Shun Hot Pot
Dong Lai Shun Hot PotIn the winter season, when chilly temperatures and frigid winds prevail over the land, people like to eat food that instantly warms their bodies and lifts their spirits. For that, the hot pot is a delicious and hearty choice. Families or groups of friends sit around a table and eat from a steaming pot in the middle, cooking and drinking and chatting. Eating hot pot is not a passive activity: diners must select morsels of prepared raw food from plates scattered around the table, place them in the pot, wait for them to cook, fish them out of the soup, dip them in the preferred sauce, and then eat them hot, fresh, and tender. Dong Lai Shun Hot Pot is the most famous hot pot chain restaurants in Beijing. Established in 1903,it becomes popular domestically and abroad for serving mutton hot pot with unique national feature and gradually develops into a Muslim dishes system with 4 big series of cooking,frying,quickly frying,and roasting ,and over 200 kinds.

Wahaha Restaurant
It's a well decorated big restaurant offering Hangzhou food. Hangzhou is the capital city of Zhejiang Province. Wahaha Restaurant is a unique experience for you. As a foreigner, you may have some guesswork since they don't speak English. But, it's never mind. They have super food! Wahaha is quite large, about 100 closed family/party rooms and several open areas. The internal decor is based on the ponds and shore vegetation. From the outside you wouldn't even know there is a big restaurant here. A restaurant with the name of the Giggling Baby? Ha!ha ! Fresh-water fish, Lobster shashimi-style, sea urchin, steamed fish, tiny fishes with sea weed soup.

Li Family Restaurant
The restaurant's imperial dishes are cooked and served by the Li family in a cozy, informal atmosphere. Professor Li set up the restaurant in 1985, making use of recipes handed down from her great-grandfather, once a senior courtier in the Security Office in Qing Dynasty. The tiny restaurant was once in such demand that you had to book a table weeks in advance. Reservations is very much essential. No credit cards accepted.

Fei Teng Yu Xiang: Sizziling Hot and Spicy Fish
Fei Teng Yu Xiang is the name given to a famous Sichuan food chain restaurants. It is famous for the dish - fresh fish cook in a big bowl of boiling oil, spices and dried chili. It's superly delicious! In dinner time, you need to avoid arriving at it from 18:00 to 19:00, otherwise you have to wait outside for a table. So it is a spicy boiled fish dish. look spicy, but taste great and no spicy at all. Don't be scared by the spicy oil, it is just poured down on the slided fish to enhance the taste. There are about 4 chain restaurants. The most visited one is the restaurant near Kunlun Hotel.

Red Capital Club
Feturing little restaurant, a boutique hotel! And it is a hard job to find! Down a very dodgy looking little hutong (alleyway in Beijing) with Madame Mao's limo out the front, this restored Qing dynasty courtyard residence is a magic area to eat. It is decorated and covered in memorabilia from the days of Mao, including ceramic statues showing him in repose smoking a cigar and with telephones in the bar you can pick up to hear him speak. The best are the tiny waitresses dressed in Mao uniforms that were about 3 sizes too big for them.
