Day by day itinerary:

Day 01: Beijing - Chengde by train ( L D )
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Beijing railway station. Take the by morning train N211 on a 4-hour train to Chengde. Upon arrival, transferred to Yunshan Hotel in Chengde or same class hotel.

After lunch, visit the Summer Resort ( Chengde Mountain Resort ). Listed on the UNESCO"s World Heritage List in 1994, the summer resort and surrounding temples make up the biggest existant royal garden and temples, dating back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Transfer back to hotel after the dinner.

Stay at Yunshan Hotel

Day 02: Chengde - Beijing by train ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Little Potala Palace and Puning Temple.  Little Potala Palace, also known as Putuo Zongcheng Temple, is located near the Chengde Mountain Resort, which is south of the Putuo Zongcheng. Along with the equally famed Puning Temple, it is one of the Eight Outer Temples of Chengde. The temple complex covers a surface area of some 220,000 square meters, making it one of the largest in China. It is a Qing Dynasty era Buddhist temple complex built between 1767 and 1771.

Then visit Puning Temple. It is situated 2.5 kilometers northeast of Chengde Summer Resort, built between 1755 and 1759. Because the temple houses a 22.28 metres statue of Avalokitesvara ( Goddess of Mercy ) with a thousand eyes and a thousand hands, it is also called Temple of the Great Goddess by the local people.

After lunch, transfer to railway station for afternoon4-hour train  back to Beijing. Arriving at Beijing Railway Station, transferred to your hotel in Beijing.
