Traditional Chinese Medicine Study Tour in Beijing

Itinerary:
This one day study tour is focused on who are interested in traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese methods for easing the aging and keeping good health.
Pick you up from your hotel in Beijing at 9:00am. Then drive to one of the Hospitals of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing. You will be arranged to meet and talk to the professionals at the hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They will make a brief introduction to the practices of acupuncture, Chinese herbology amd measures to protect the health. Then they will take you to visit the outpatient department. Afterwards, you visit one of the medical wards and see how the doctors treating the patients by using acupuncture. You will have some feeling of an excellent hands-on experience and a real immersion into an integrated Chinese hospital. Finally you are arranged to visit its pharmacy to see how people taking the Chinese medicines.
After finishing the visit to the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, you will take hutong tour in the Shichahai area and have lunch with the locals in their courtyard home.
After lunch, you proceed to visit one of the branches of Beijing Tongrentang Pharmacy. Beijing Tongrentang Pharmacy is a world famous Chinese pharmacy. Tongrentang was first set up in 1669. It was the designated brand of TCM for Qing court ( 1644 - 1911). Now it has a history of over 300 years. The pharmacy has been continuing to expand till today. You will see how people taking Chinese medicines and checking up their health. One practitioner at Tongrentang will teach you some basic knowledge of Tui Na. Tui Na is a form of Chinese manipulative therapy often used with acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping. Tui Na is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is taught in TCM schools as part of formal training in Chinese medicine. After learning Tui Na, you will have one hour for relaxation to enjoy foot massage at Beijing Tongrentang foot massage studio in Beijing Tongrentang Pharmacy. Return to your hotel in Beijing after your foot message.
