p.s. I made a suggestion to Ricky to include one American/Western meal in the trip ---- we really enjoyed the friendship restaurant and the lunch last day at the schezuan place, but the kids would have loved one meal at KFC or similar. The Peking Duck was very good and Ricky adjusted the dinner time to later in the evening to suit our eating habits, which was after the fantastic Kung Fu show (thought the seats on that show could have been a little better, we got to sit in the last row!)

Pick up at your hotel around 8:00am. Then drive to Badaling Great Wall. Badaling section is the most famous and best-preserved wall. It lies 100 KM away at the northwest of Beijing. If you want to get to the highest point and have a bird eye's view of this section of the great wall, cable car is a good choice ( optional ). After lunch, drive back to the city center to visit Forbidden City -- largest and best-preserved palatial complex still existing, also known as the Palace Museum.T hen move on to Tian An Men Square, the world largest. Tour ends and return to hotel.
