Pick up from your hotel at 7:30am. A full day excursion to Simatai Great Walland Gubei Water Town. First visit Gubei Water Town, a newly built water town with a massive backdrop of the world famous Simatai Great Wall. It is a replica of Wuzhen Water Town in the Southern China. The water town comprises 6 areas including Old Barracks Area, Minguo Street Area (Republic of China Street ), Water Street Area, Wonglong.

Then hike Simatai Great Wall for 2-3 hours. Have lunch at a local restaurant down the hill. After the late lunch, get back to the hotel downtown about 5:00pm.

The Great Wall at Simatai is quiet and natural, virtually unreconstructed. Most people consider Simatai the most beautiful section of the Great Wall. It is beautiful, but its main aesthetic attraction is its state of ruin. This is how the Great Wall really looks 500 years after the Ming constructed it. Simatai is a paradise for hikers and hill walkers, with its dramatic natural scenery.
